Finding Impressionism

When Impressionism were first refused by the official art exhibitions in Paris, in 1863, I bet it was a clear point on how important and radical were their new ways of interpreting and seeing the world through art. Breaking with the traditional way of painting, interested mainly in moving the atmospheric interplay of light and color to the foreground, and, seeking for a more simple and daily type of scenarios, in order to capture life at that exact moment, when time simply stops. They really were trying to feel and connect with a deeper self.

Occasionally, Manet, Monet, Degas, Renoir, Pizarro and eventually Paul Cezanne, discussed at the center and base for their own art, the fugitive beauty in modern times by Charles Baudelaire, which I quote, he says:

‘’Beauty is made up of an eternal, invariable element, whose quantity it is excessively difficult to determine, and of a relative, circumstantial element, which will be, if you like, whether severally or all at once, the age, its fashions, its morals, its emotions…’’

In resume, beauty is based by the elements ruling each period of time, morals, and emotions, which ultimately lead you to, either feel it or no"...
